“The racing was great and I felt really good, but Ryan was just going fast,“ said Tim of the weekend. “With the course dry and fast on Saturday it was really perfect for Ryan, but I was really impressed with how he rode the mud on Sunday. He had a good combination of power and technique, I couldnt drop him and he was just very strong this weekend.˛
“We really gave Ryan a run for his money,˛ said Jeremy of Sundayšs racing. “It was a really good race. I was getting all excited to race in the mud; I liked the slick grassy stuff, which I think hurt some of the road guys. I think we rode really solid this weekend, we were always right there.“
Seemingly fully recovered from illness that shešd struggled with for almost a month, Lyne chalked up a pair of second place finishes behind Lunašs Georgia Gould. Forcing the pace to test her legs, Lyne helped Gould open the race-winning gaps on both days. A win seemed in the cards on Sunday, but a technical bobble by Lyne in the closing laps opened the door for Gould and that was all the mountain bike pro needed to cement her second win of the weekend. After the race Lyne bundled up her bikes and headed to the airport to catch a flight to Europe, where she will make her World Cup debut next weekend.
