Among the major stars in the rapidly growing bike-racing sport of cyclocross is multi-year US National Champion Tim Johnson. Tim’s need for speed, power, reliability and endurance has led him to develop the Model TJX, the Tim Johnson Signature cyclocross bike, with world-famous US-based bike manufacturer, Cannondale. The very first example of Tim’s bike was recently presented to him by officials from Cannondale at a brief ceremony near Cannondale’s Connecticut headquarters.
Drawing upon his extensive world-class racing experience, Tim created a bike that features a state-of-the-art Cannondale CAAD9 Optimo BB30 aluminum frame, Cannondale carbon fiber compact crank, and carbon-wrapped seat post; Easton C90X full carbon fork, and Control Tech Compact handlebars.
SRAM’s new “Rival” group is the running gear of choice for derailleurs, shifters and brake levers, while Cannondale provides the stopping power with high-clearance carbon-fiber center-pull brakes. Mavic Aksium wheels are clad with Maxxis Raze Foldable 700 x 35 tires; a San Marco Ponza Lux saddle completes the spec.
